3DPrintStarter exists for one reason: to help new 3D printer owners get successful prints without feeling overwhelmed.

Who we are

3DPrintStarter is run by the people behind a small 3D printing company. We print every day, and we remember how confusing it was at the start. We made all the beginner mistakes, so you don't have to make as many.

What we believe

• Plain words beat jargon. If we need a technical term, we explain it.
• Failed prints are normal. They're fixable, and they're never a sign you're "bad at this".
• Honest beats hype. We say who a product is not for, not just who it's for.

How we choose what to recommend

We recommend products based on how well they suit beginners: ease of setup, reliability, support and community, and value for money. When we haven't personally used something, we'll say so and explain what our view is based on. We update guides when products, prices or our opinions change, and every guide shows when it was last updated.
