The short version: some links on 3DPrintStarter are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

What that means

An affiliate link is a special link to a store. When someone buys after clicking it, the store pays us a small share of the sale. Your price is the same either way.

That money is how we keep the site and the newsletter free.

Our promises

• Recommendations come first. We recommend what we think suits beginners, whether or not there's an affiliate program. A commission never buys a spot in our guides.
• We tell you up front. Any page, email or social post with affiliate links says so near the top, not just here.
• We say who it's not for. If a product isn't right for most beginners, we'll tell you, even if it pays well.
• Sponsorships are labeled. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly marked as sponsored.
